Image to text converter
Upload a photo or a screenshot and get the text back. Anthropic Claude reads the picture and returns what it finds, so you can copy text from a picture without an OCR install. JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and HEIC images work.
Your file is held in storage only for the seconds of the request and is deleted when the result returns. Scanned pages are read by Anthropic Claude. Files up to 20 MB, first 20 pages. Large photos are resized in your browser before upload.
Receiving documents like this from clients?
zendoc reads every PDF and photo a client uploads, on arrival, and flags the files that are unreadable, incomplete, or the wrong type, so your team sees the problem before the client is gone.

Frequently asked questions
How do I extract text from an image?
Drop the picture on the box above and read the result. JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and HEIC images work, and each file can be up to 20 MB.
Is this picture to text tool OCR?
It does the job of OCR with a different method. Classic OCR matches letter shapes one by one. Anthropic Claude reads the whole image and returns the text in reading order.
Can it read handwriting?
It reads clear handwriting in many cases. The result depends on how legible the writing is. Read the output before you use it.
Do you store my image?
No. The image goes into storage for the seconds the request takes, and zendoc deletes it when the result returns. Nothing is kept.
