Convert PDF to Markdown (MD)

Upload a PDF and get MD back. The tool reads the text layer of the file and keeps the headings, lists, and tables it finds. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF, and EPUB files also work. If a page is a scan, Anthropic Claude reads the page image instead.

Your file is held in storage only for the seconds of the request and is deleted when the result returns. Scanned pages are read by Anthropic Claude. Files up to 20 MB, first 20 pages. Large photos are resized in your browser before upload.

Receiving documents like this from clients?

zendoc reads every PDF and photo a client uploads, on arrival, and flags the files that are unreadable, incomplete, or the wrong type, so your team sees the problem before the client is gone.

How it works

    Choose your file.

Pick a file from your device, or drop it on the upload box.

  2. Step 2

It uses the text layer of the file when there is one, and Anthropic Claude when there is not.

  3. Step 3

    Copy or download the markdown.

Copy the result, or download it as a .md file.
